Hamas Wants Obama As President

I say, talk in politics is cheap. You can tell a lot about a candidate by looking at who supports him, or her. So I think it’s quite telling that Hamas is hoping for an Obama Presidency.

JERUSALEM – On the eve of a planned meeting with former President Jimmy Carter, the isolated Hamas terrorist organization has expressed “hope” Sen. Barack Obama will win the presidential elections and “change” America’s foreign policy.

“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an exclusive interview with WND and with the John Batchelor Show on WABC Radio in New York.

“I hope Mr. Obama and the Democrats will change the political discourse. … I do believe [Obama] is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principal. And he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance,” Yousuf said, speaking from Gaza.

  1. Just Wondering

How can there be peace without first having a discussion?
My understanding is that Israel is a strong and peace loving nation seeking to find a path to its own security. A nation that is not afraid to discuss the way of peace with its enemies. One that has the courage to negotiate from strength and not from fear.
So what is wrong with a discussion about peace?

  2. John,

One only need to look at nature to answer your question. If you’re not familiar with animals, think of the roadrunner and the coyote. When an animal is being stalked by a preditor they DON’T come out and expose themselves and they don’t try to appease them or even compromise with them, because once they do they get EATEN. They CAN, however, out smart them.

There will never be peace when one of the members of the peace process is a PREDITOR.

It is not a question of Israel being “afraid,” it’s a question of being “smart” enough to know when you’re putting yourself in mortal danger.

“Ask the animals and they will teach you.”
    -Job 12:7-8

If you still cannot understand that analogy. Consider a rape victim and a rapist. Do you really think talking will prevent the rape?

A person can feel no fear and enter a lion’s den–his courage to enter will NOT guarantee safety; actually it will guarantee DEATH and shows lack of judgment and foolishness.

Why should Israel be foolish enough to discuss “peace” with those who are sworn to destroy them? Especially when Israel has already tried this in the past and it’s only made the situation worse.

    Live in the real world.

  3. Here’s an example of Jimmy Carter (or anyone else who has no healthy God-given fear of putting their head inside a crockadile’s mouth). And that’s exactly what Jimmy Carter is doing when he represents the U.S. foolishly underestimates the danger, except it is not only HIS head he’s putting in danger, it’s the USA and Israel’s too, so that makes him not only a suicidal maniac, but a murderer.

Wow. What business do they have in interfering in OUR elections?

  5. I am truly astonished by the level of irrational hatred expressed on this website. I, and every Jew I know, strongly support Barack Obama for president for a whole host of reasons. And I have no doubt that he will be a good friend and a strong supporter of the state fo Israel.

I believe he will be received by the middle eastern countries as a fair broker, which is imperative for any president to be able to play a serious role in the I/P peace process. If you think that Bush as been Israel’s great ally you are sadly mistaken. He has done NOTHING to move the peace process forward, and he can’t, because like you he believes that ignoring your enemy is the best way to eliminate the problem.

Frankly, I find this website to be an embarrassment. Neocon Jews — like all neocons, are a blight on this country. Your days of influence are numbered.

  6. Dear “A proud Jew,”

    You are a schmuck.

  7. “If you still cannot understand that analogy. Consider a rape victim and a rapist. Do you really think talking will prevent the rape?”

I think the only thing that would prevent the rape would be giving the rapist what he/she wants so that he/she will not take it by force.

I don’t think they are irrational. Didn’t you even hear about his pastor? If you didn’t I think you are deaf!

“I believe he will be received by the middle eastern countries as a fair broker, which is imperative for any president to be able to play a serious role in the I/P peace process. Bush’s made some mistakes, yes, but he was a better ally to Israel than Clinton. Clinton made Israel surrender the West Bank, obviously being unfair in the Muslims’ favor. At least Bush never attacked Israel. True, he never helped Israel either, but we can rest assured he’s not a Jew-hater. I’m not Jewish, but I support Israel’s right to the land God promised them.

“Frankly, I find this website to be an embarrassment. Neocon Jews — like all neocons, are a blight on this country. Your days of influence are numbered.”
How in the world are these Jews a blight to America or Western civilization or the state of Israel? Just because they have the courage to speak the truth? Perhaps they are overly aggressive about it, and may present it roughly, but it’s better than the truth not coming out at all in this instance.

  9. A mom, Jewish and proud

I, for one, and most every other Jewish person I know will NOT be voting for Barack Obama, for all the reasons known to everyone already and then some. I also live in a hugely Jewish state for 30-40 years (family here 40) and know many Jewish people (amongst many other people) and all are not voting for Barack. I also know a few online Jewish folks who would not, if they could, vote for him either (living out of country).

I know one person who is Jewish but never was religious or following any of it in the lifetime, who is voting for Barack, lives in the west, and who I believe is a blind loyalist and/or ostrich (head in sand).

I guess it just depends on where you live (area) and also one’s age group……I’m am older.

    To each his/her own….I always say…..I just hope y’all aren’t making one_huge_mistake…..

  10. Young&Handsome

Funny you mention age. I feel like the only young person (except for a few others) who haven’t sold out to Obama.

  11. Almost every Jewish person I know will be voting for Obama – so I guess everyone’s experiences are different. Age groups and demographics play into it. I also like to think that younger Jews (more modern, perhaps less traditional) do not hold to the same patterns of thought that may keep some of the older, more traditional Jews from voting for him. But some of those Jewish people I know, they are older.

And being only someone who has dated/lived near/associated with Jews (but am not actually one), I don’t think they’re being blind or irrational at all. They’ve got sound, solid reason for why they support Obama, as solid and sound as the reasons given for why some of them support Hillary.

I don’t understand this perpetual insult that anyone who supports Obama hasn’t thought it out, is stupid, or has his or her head in the sand. It presumes that one person is right, and well, in an election like this, the only way to know who’s right and who’s wrong is to wait to see who’s President and how it goes. Until that happens, all of the arguments from both sides are nothing more than pissing in the wind.

With that said, this site is in fact filled with more hatred than I expected. By and large I came here to review the site, expecting to find cogent reasons for why these particular Jews weren’t supporting Obama. In my experience, the Jews I know are all well-reasoned people, who can convey an idea without resorting to being hateful. Maybe I have just lucked out in my associations, but this site is not the sort of site I was expecting.

    Ah well.

p.s. “You can tell a lot about a candidate by looking at who supports him, or her.” So if the KKK or the Nazi Youth endorse McCain or Hillary, will that “tell a lot” about them? I doubt it. It is unfair and immature to assert that you can judge a person based on who supports them. A candidate has no control over who supports them – none – not a single iota.

Last time I checked, you’re supposed to judge a man by his deeds, not by the deeds of someone countries away who’s decided they admire him. Apparently people in Germany love David Hasselhoff, but I don’t see anyone holding that against him.

    Sheesh.

  12. “And being only someone who has dated/lived near/associated with Jews (but am not actually one), I don’t think they’re being blind or irrational at all. They’ve got sound, solid reason for why they support Obama, as solid and sound as the reasons given for why some of them support Hillary.”
There is evidence that the Left hates Jews, or at least the state of Israel. What solid reasons do these Jews have?
“I don’t understand this perpetual insult that anyone who supports Obama hasn’t thought it out, is stupid, or has his or her head in the sand. Because they think that Obama is not a good choice for President, they think negatively of his supporters. I think it’s unfair to insult his supporters in that way because some do it to prove that they aren’t racist.
“With that said, this site is in fact filled with more hatred than I expected. What hate? Is it hateful to tell the truth like it is? They are using reason and truth to support their opposition to Barack Obama. You are probably just saying this because you are biased in favor of him. I know this site is biased against Obama (hence the name) but they are conveying an idea without resorting to being hateful.
“Last time I checked, you’re supposed to judge a man by his deeds, not by the deeds of someone countries away who’s decided they admire him. Apparently people in Germany love David Hasselhoff, but I don’t see anyone holding that against him.”
Not all Germans are Nazis. I know several Germans (but am not one) who are not Nazis. In fact, some Germans are Christians, and Hitler despised Christians. Hitler said (these quotes are taken from a book Hitler’s Table Talk):
“National Socialism and religion cannot exist together….
“The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity….
“Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things.” (p 6 & 7)
“The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death…. When understanding of the universe has become widespread… Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity….
“Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity…. And that’s why someday its structure will collapse….
“…the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little….
    “Christianity the liar….
“We’ll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State.” (p 49-52)
Does that sound very Christian? Even the Atheist’s web http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/mathew/sn-hitler.html says Hitler wasn’t Christian.

  13. Jews should not support Obama his pastor has preached anti-Israeli pro palestinian sermons for years. Obama will be Israels greatest threat if he is elected because he is pro muslim and is to be greatly feared. All of my family which are jewish would never vote for Obama.

“A candidate has no control over who supports them – none – not a single iota.”
Perhaps, but would you support someone who will goes for what you want or what you don’t want?

I mean will go not will goes sorry.

  17. Obama is pro-Israel, period. People are making a superficial judgment about his allegiances based on his name, not on what he says, how he’s voted in the Senate, or who he surrounds himself with. You focus on nonsense like “he knows this guy who knows this guy who is ANTI-SEMITIC!” or “THIS ANTI-SEMITE with ten degrees of separation from obama SUPPORTS HIM!!” and it is ridiculous. Obama is not pro-terrorism/terrorists, and to say anything different is absurd. What about the Jews and pro-Israel people in his campaign supporting him? Their opinions make no difference to you because it doesn’t serve your purpose. I am a Jew FOR obama, and I am proud.

  18. “Obama is pro-Israel, period.”
    Where’d you get that idea?
